Karly & Jordan’s Minnesota Backyard Wedding was amazing to shoot! They had so many thoughtful details and you could just see their love for each other throughout the day. So much laughter & fun!!
These two met at a housewarming party in 2011! Believe it or not, Karly’s really good friend married Jordan’s cousin! So they were both invited individually to the housewarming party, and met each other there. They stayed in touch and remained friends afterwards for 5 years. In 2016 they started dating & fell in love!
We’re such a fan of that classic friends-to-lovers story!! Never gets old!
When I asked them to tell me about their proposal story, this is what they wrote:
“Karly proposed about a hundred times before Jordan took her seriously (This is true, I asked him constantly. First it was serious, then it became a running joke in our family. I even came up with very creative ways for him to propose to me, including a sign at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade). We finally decided over burgers at JL Beers in January.“
After that, they started planning their Minnesota backyard wedding! Jordan’s mom actually designed a lot of the decor, and we absolutely loved it. There were bright pops of color all throughout the day that reflected the happy couples’ joyful personalities.
